American Airlines, British Airways i Iberia objavili su značajne novosti za putnike između Evrope i Severne Amerike. Tri kompanije počele su zajednički nastup na transtlantskoj ruti. Niže cene, veći izbor letova i jednostavnije konekcije su tri osnovna cilja zajedničkog nastupa na tržištu. Tri kompanije koje su okosnica Oneworld alijanse svoj zajednički nastup na ruti između Evrope i SAD ojačaće i dodavanjem mnoštva novih kod-šer letova. Tako će American Airlines dodati nova 322 leta British-a i Iberije u svoju mrežu linija, Iberia će to uraditi na 354 leta druge dve kompanije dok će British Airways svoju oznaku dodati na čak 2063 leta partnerskih kompanija. Zahvaljujući ovoj novoj saradnji putnicima će na raspolaganju biti preko 400 destinacija u 105 zemalja koje će biti pokrivene sa preko 5.200 letova svakog dana. Tri kompanije od aprila 2011. uvode i nove zajedničke letove koji će značajno obogatiti ponudu:
Budimpešta – Njujork (JFK), American Airlines
Helsinki – Čikago, American Airlines
London (Heathrow) – San Diego, British Airways
Madrid – Los Anđeles, Iberia
Na veliku žalost putnika iz Srbije, Beograd je nedavno ispao iz mreže linija British Airways-a koji će u Beograd poslednji put sleteti 30. novembra ove godine. Nakon toga će sve konekcije sa Amerikom preko Londona biti moguće ostvariti samo u saradnji sa Jat Airways-om dok sa Madridom i Helsinkijem nemamo direktnu avionsku vezu. Jedina veza putnika iz Srbije sa Oneworld alijansom i sa ove tri aviokompanije je preko aerodroma u Budimpešti do koga leti njihov partner iz alijanse Malev a do tamo se jednostavno i jeftino stiže i kopnenim putem.
